Description

In this deliverable D3.3 we have focused on inverse design for morphing and locomotion problems, namely, how to program the target metric to achieve a desired shape without storing internal stresses, and how to program body contractions to achieve eversion and rectilinear burrowing motion of a robotic worm mimicking the Sipuncula. These mechanisms are particularly useful as they can be easily adapted to different actuation strategies.
