Description

District hospitals in Ethiopia play a critical role in healthcare delivery, yet their operational efficiency remains a significant challenge. The study employs comprehensive search strategies across multiple databases, including PubMed and Scopus. Studies are screened based on predefined inclusion criteria focusing on risk reduction measures within Ethiopian district hospitals. Panel-data estimation methodologies have been applied in various studies, with a notable trend towards incorporating robust standard errors to account for intracluster correlation. This review underscores the importance of methodological rigor in assessing hospital systems and highlights the potential of panel data analysis for enhancing risk reduction strategies. Further research should prioritise replication of successful methodologies across different district hospitals to validate their effectiveness and scalability. district hospitals, Ethiopia, systematic literature review, panel data, risk reduction Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
