  • 1. Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH)
  • 2. Mkwawa University College of Education

Description

Afrofuturism is an interdisciplinary approach that explores how African cultures envision their future and respond to historical and contemporary challenges. The analysis draws from existing literature and scholarly works that have applied Afrofuturist lenses to understand African societal transformations. Themes of technological innovation and cultural preservation are prominent within the book's case studies, particularly in urban development projects. The review underscores the importance of Afrofuturism as a conceptual tool for understanding complex sociopolitical issues in Tanzania. Future research should consider incorporating diverse perspectives to enrich the Afrofuturist analysis of Tanzanian futures.
