Establishing the Possibility of Obtaining Films Based on Polyvinylpyrrolidone Copolymers with a Combined Matrix by Centrifugal Molding. Review of Equipment and Technologies
Authors/Creators
Description
The work presents an overview of the designs and principles of operation of equipment for centrifugal molding of polymer materials with the aim of adapting it to the production of hydrogel films based on polyvinylpyrrolidone copolymers with a combined matrix. The technological stages of the process, molding conditions and main parameters – temperature, rotation frequency, polymerization duration, composition viscosity – are analyzed. It is shown that the proposed design solutions – the use of polymer inserts, multi-cavity molds, heating chambers and thermal expansion compensators - ensure the production of high-quality films with specified properties. It is determined that centrifugal molding can be a technological alternative to traditional casting, providing improved surface quality, controlled film thickness and the possibility of scaling the process for serial production of hydrogel materials for biomedical purposes.
