Description
This deliverable describes a set of simulators and simulator extensions developed in the MLSysOps project. These simulation tools can be used independently of the MLSysOps project for a variety of purposes. They enable the generation of realistic system traces for scenarios that are impractical or impossible to reproduce using research or real-world testbeds. In addition, they can be used to evaluate different system and application management policies, including machine learning–based approaches.
Some of the simulation environments also support testing real software on virtual rather than physical nodes, which is particularly useful for mobile computing scenarios involving smart vehicles.
The deliverable is also available via the official MLSysOps project website. Short descriptions of the simulators, along with links to their corresponding software repositories and documentation, are provided on the project website under the software and datasets section.
