Atlas of Microclimate Development for Bohemian Forest Ecosystem, including the Effect of Forest Stands

Description

The maps present estimated future microclimatic characteristics for 20-year periods (2021–2040 (“2030”), 2041–2060 (“2050”), 2061–2080 (“2070”), 2081–2100 (“2090”)) at 25 m resolution. They were produced by adding a multi-model anomaly to local microclimate maps of the reference period, which also incorporate future forest development simulated with the forest landscape growth model LANDIS-II (v7.1) using the PnET extension (v5.1).

The anomaly is defined as the difference between the climatology of a given future 20-year period and the reference climatology (October 2019–September 2024; hydrological year = October–September).

The multi-model estimate is reported as the median across models; model uncertainty is expressed as the interquartile range (IQR = Q75 − Q25).

Projection data source: CMIP6 projections from the Copernicus Climate Data Store (CDS), dataset CMIP6 climate projections (projections-cmip6, DOI: 10.24381/cds.c866074c).

SSP scenarios (Shared Socioeconomic Pathways) from the ScenarioMIP project: SSP2-4.5 (intermediate future emissions) and SSP5-8.5 (very high future emissions).


BFE_2020-2024_CLIM_yearly_mean_with_climate.rdata - Microclimate information from 288 microclimate sites covering October 2019 - September 2024.

BFE_landis.rdata - values of topographic parameters and forest structure information from LANDIS-II model with PnET extension for the 288 sites

Filename includes SSP, 20 year period code, climate variable and IQR layers have _iqr suffix

Mapy zobrazují odhad budoucí mikroklimatických charakteristik pro 20-letá období (2021–2040 (“2030”), 2041–2060 (“2050”), 2061–2080 (“2070”), 2081–2100 (“2090”) v rozlišení 25 m. Vznikly přičtením vícemodelové odchylky k lokálním mikroklimatickým mapám referenčního období, které zohledňují i budoucí vývoj lesních porostů modelovaný pomocí krajinného modelu růstu lesa LANDIS-II (v7.1) s využitím extenze PnET (v5.1).

Odchylka je definována jako rozdíl mezi klimatologií budoucího dvacetiletého období a referenční klimatologií (říjen 2019 – září 2024; hydrologický rok = říjen–září).

Vícemodelový odhad je uveden jako medián napříč modely; modelová nejistota je vyjádřena mezikvartilovým rozpětím (IQR = Q75 − Q25).
