Denne kortfattede beskrivelse præsenterer resultaterne af en samfundsøkonomisk konsekvens-vurdering af en storstilet naturgenopretningsplan i Aarhus Kommune.

Der er planlagt i alt 11 vand- og naturparker, som vil mere end fordoble naturområder  kommunen.

Aarhus Ådal Vand- og Naturpark vurderes samfundsøkonomisk i forhold til: 

  • Forbedring af overfladevandskvaliteten
  • Beskyttelse af grundvandet
  • Forbedrede rekreative muligheder
  • Forbedret nærhed til natur
  • Kulstofbinding
  • Implementerings- og driftsomkostninger
