Veganthropology: an ethical stance against structural speciesism (comic strip)

This comic strip synthesizes, in visual language, Veganthropology (Vegan Anthropology) as a normative-descriptive subfield of Sociocultural Anthropology grounded in interspecies ethics. It problematizes “neutrality” in anthropology when it operates as a tacit anthropocentric horizon and legitimizes animal exploitation under the label of “culture”. In contrast, it proposes anti-speciesism and veganism as method: an ethical-analytical lens for identifying social devices that manufacture exploitable lives, and for investigating disputes, resistances, and sociocultural reconfigurations. The strip distinguishes Anthropology of Veganism (veganism as an empirical object) from Veganthropology (veganism as method) and states minimum governance criteria for alliances: an abolitionist objective, normative compatibility, and anti-(green/vegan)washing.
