Report of the first accessibility review of the Rubin Science Platform
Description
Report and slides of the initial accessibility review of the Rubin Science Platform (rsp.lsst.io), the web interface to access data from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. The review was conducted by Johanna Casado and their group at Universidad de Mendoza, and coordinated by Andrés A. Plazas Malagón (SLAC/ KIPAC/ Stanford / Rubin) and Melissa Graham (University of Washington / Rubin) as members of Rubin's Community Science Team.
The primary objective was to review the access and data analysis of LSST Data Preview 1 (DP1, dp1.lsst.io) dataset through the Rubin Science Platform interfaces.
The core goal of this review was to identify specific barriers faced by Blind and Low Vision (BLV) users and to provide preliminary recommendations for immediate and medium-term improvements. This assessment is designed to be the crucial first step in an iterative approach toward full inclusivity.
