Description

Executive Summary: The aim of this report is to provide an early assessment of user reqiurements, challenges, pathways, pain-points, and an initial definition of business processes related to the CVDLINK federated AI-based cardiovascular risk assessment platform.

To elecit user requirements while also providing a broader understanding of the current practices and challenges in the cardiovascular domain, a questionnaire was drafted and shared with the international cardiovascular community. Also, co-creation and participatory design workshops were conducted with CVDLINK stakeholders to prioritize the needs of each stakeholder group (clinical partners, healthcare professionals, industry, academia). Early insights and user considerations were contextualized in desk research about the social and cultural aspects of the cardiovascular domain and then formalized in scenarios of use.

Security requirements and data interoperability are also considered part of the current report as CVDLINK is a data-driven project and it is of utomost importance that the CVDLINK system fulfils all the security requirements set by the data holder organisations to allow their data to become part of the CVDLINK federated system.
