Description

Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, 1908

Distribution in Myanmar. Kachin State, Kayin State, Kayal [sic], Sagaing Region, Shan State (south) (Garnier & Bové 2000; Morris & Waterhouse 2001; Hall et al. 2013; Bragard et al. 2021).

Host plant. Citrus sp. (Rutaceae) (Morris & Waterhouse 2001; Ouvrard 2023).

Comments. The species is a serious pest of cultivated and wild citrus plants. ‘ Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’, the causal agent of citrus greening, infects various citrus cultivars in Myanmar (Garnier & Bové 2000).
