This video illustrates the deployment and recovery of a transceiver mooring, using footage from the CAATEX experiment. It was prepared to brief scientists and the crew aboard KV Svalbard during the HiAOOS 2024 cruise, ensuring everyone was familiar with the procedures before deploying the HiAOOS moorings. HiAOOS—High Arctic Ocean Observing System—is a research infrastructure initiative designed to advance sustained observations in the Arctic Ocean, supporting climate science and international collaboration.
