The Cotangent Universe: An Exploratory Framework for Cyclic Causal Dynamics
Description
This work explores whether a cyclic "Cotangent Cosmology" can reproduce present observa-
tional features while oering alternative conceptual interpretations of gravity and agency. We
investigate a phenomenological model proposing that the Universe operates within a closed, non-
dissipative cyclic topology. By modeling the causal timeline as a geodesic on a curved manifold, we
derive the Hubble parameter as a time-dependent cotangent function (H ∝ cot(t)). We argue that
this model could potentially resolve the Hubble Tension as a phase evolution issue and suggests a
mechanism for the apparent accelerated expansion via "Geodesic Lag" rather than Dark Energy.
Furthermore, we interpret gravity not as a fundamental force, but as a mechanism of causal syn-
chronization, evidenced locally by the geoid shape of rotating bodies. Finally, we discuss speculative
philosophical implications, proposing a model of Geometric Panpsychism where the universe is
geometrically constrained to process information through a Universal Neural Substrate.
