Description

This report presents the ethical guidelines for the COEVOLVERS Living Labs to co-create NBS. The guidelines follow the overall principles of the COEVOLVERS -project aiming at making Nature-based Solutions (NBS) ethically more sensitive and inclusive contributing to the wellbeing of humans and nonhumans and to the adaptive resilience of their living environments (Chapter 2). The current EU and national level guidelines for ethical research and research integrity constitute the baseline for the work (Chapter 3). Given the broad geographical scope and diversity of the stakeholders and participants representing also marginalized and vulnerable groups and the aim to involve nonhuman perspective in the co-creation, specific situated ethical issues may arise. These issues were discussed and anticipated by COEVOLVERS partners in two workshops that focused particularly on the individual participants, living environments, the LL teams and researchers and the co-creation process (Chapter 4). Finally, procedures for monitoring and reporting the ethical issues during the project lifetime, and handling of problematic situations were set (Chapter 5). Templates for info sheet (Annex II), plain language statement and Consent form are provided in the ANNEX to be applied and used by the partners.
