PathOS - D5.4 Exploitation Plan II

  • 1. Athena Research and Innovation Center In Information Communication & Knowledge Technologies

Description

This exploitation plan outlines the strategy for maximizing the impact of the Key Exploitable Results (KERs) from the PathOS project, which identified and quantified the key impact pathways of Open Science (OS) across academia, society, and the economy. The plan ensures that the results of PathOS continue to generate value and drive innovation beyond the project's conclusion.

PathOS participated in the Horizon Results Booster program, receiving services that provided expert consultation and structured assessment processes. This support enhanced the exploitation potential of PathOS outcomes and informed the dissemination strategies outlined in this plan, ensuring alignment with proven methodologies for research impact maximization.

This final exploitation plan presents the completed project results and demonstrates how the established KERs will be sustained and exploited post-project. The six KERs delivered include the Open Science Indicator Handbook, PathOS Toolkit, Training Programme, Cost-Benefit Analysis Framework, Key Impact Pathways Framework, and Policy Recommendations, each with partner commitments for ongoing application and development.

The plan is structured around each KER, detailing the innovation achieved, exploitation strategies being implemented, and sustainability mechanisms in place. Each KER section highlights the unique contributions delivered, the specific channels through which partners are exploiting the results, and the long-term arrangements for sustaining impact. Cross-cutting strategies enhance overall impact through UNESCO Open Science Toolkit integration, European Commission Horizon Results Platform visibility, and potential PathOS 2.0 development discussions.

The integrated KER ecosystem provides comprehensive Open Science evaluation capabilities, from foundational indicators and practical tools to training resources, evaluation frameworks, and policy guidance. This coherent system ensures that PathOS delivers lasting value across Europe and beyond, significantly advancing evidence-based Open Science practices and policies through sustained partner engagement and institutional integration.
