SPADE Project Introduction - Webinar Use Cases, Digital Twin, and Horizontal Standardisation 5 November 2025

The SPADE project presentation introduces a multi-purpose physical-cyber drone ecosystem designed to support governance and environmental monitoring across agri-forestry sectors, highlighting contributions from a consortium of 21 partners in 9 European countries. The project addresses risks and regulatory challenges around drone operations, cybersecurity, ethics, and standards, while aiming to deliver intelligent UAV-based services for forestry, cropping, and livestock farming. SPADE leverages digital twin technology—aligned with ISO/IEC standards—for operational efficiency, data integration, and large-scale demonstrations, with real-world pilots for swarm and cooperative applications. The infrastructure developed by GRADIANT supports distributed architectures, interoperability, and a drone data marketplace, illustrating SPADE’s commitment to both horizontal standardization and open-source digital twin solutions across various use cases.
