Description
ABSTRACT
In this article, we investigate the small school teaching experience in response to the challenges and potentials of rural education and the professional resilience of teachers. Rural schoolteachers face difficulties such as scarce resources, small student groups, and a lack of effective resources. However, when it comes to smaller schools, teachers could establish personal connections and monitor student progress more closely. The aim of this study is to identify the necessary strategies for developing professional resilience among teachers and to offer a better understanding of the teaching experience in small-scale schools. The study is qualitative research, conducted using the Experience Sampling Method (ESM) and shaped by teachers' experiences. The results identify the existing problems in rural education and offer some new solutions to these problems. Consequently, these findings form a basis for addressing the needs of teachers in micro-schools and developing recommendations to foster professional resilience in this context. It aims to contribute to improving the quality of rural education as a source of information guiding the drafting of education policies and the design of teacher support programs.
