D17: CODECO EdgeNet Framework Version 1.0
Description
CODECO Deliverable D17 – CODECO EdgeNet Framework relates with the work under
development in WP5 and Task 5.2 – CODECO EdgeNet Framework. This task is focused on
leveraging the CODECO Experimentation Framework (CODEF) in order to validate CODECO
aspects and support large-scale experimentation initiatives.
D17 provides a detailed overview of CODEF, including its design, architecture, and workflow.
It details the rationale behind the decision to replace EdgeNet with CODEF; it also highlights
the validation procedures for CODECO components and OSS, using CODEF. The document
also outlines the methodology guidelines proposed in CODECO that can be integrated with
CODEF, its contribution to reliably support CODECO experiments, selective explanations of
the underlying code, and a set of proof-of-concept implementations that were carried out
during the development of the framework.
