Description
This document, titled " Roadmap for BBTs implementation", outlines the roadmap that each Regional Partner for Forestry and Agriculture (RPFA) followed to define a list of Bio-Based Technologies (BBTs) and identify the most suitable ones.
Based on activities T1.2 (Co-creation on regional needs and challenges regarding OG-identified/locally applied BBTs), T2.1 (BBioNets inventory and knowledge collection), T2.2 (BBT assessment tool) and T2.3 (High-level study of regional dynamics), CREA guided the RPFA to adapt the BBTs into simplified and synthetic groups of variables, depending on whether they measure the effectiveness, cost or sustainability of the BBT. Considering the identified needs and available Represented Region (RR) resources (technical, environmental, economic and social aspects), the ‘RR-specific’ scenarios (lists of BBTs best suited for RR) were shared with the respective Forest and Agriculture Network (FAN) for validation (T1.3 Validation and prioritization of BBTs per region), after weighting the adapted variables. After defining ‘RR-specific’ scenarios and re-calibrating the assessment tool, the list was drawn up to prepare its ‘Roadmap for BBT implementation’ (D2.5, M15).
The primary objective of this Task has been therefore to define a list of possible BBTs that can be implemented in each FAN and in the light of the study of regional dynamics, identifying the 5 most suitable ones.
