Description

This dataset provides English translations of open-ended responses from the MarginUp! cross-country stakeholder survey, conducted in seven national case studies (Argentina, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Greece, and South Africa).

The survey explored stakeholder perspectives on the use of marginal lands for biomass-based value chains, covering risks, sustainability priorities, governance needs, and conflicts. This dataset contains only the translated text of open-ended responses (originally collected in Spanish, German, Greek, Hungarian, Swedish) to facilitate cross-country comparison.

Structured survey data and responses in the original languages are archived separately within the same Zenodo community (MarginUp! – Stakeholder perspectives on using marginal lands for sustainable biomass value chains).

All responses have been anonymised, and translations were carried out with partner support to preserve meaning while safeguarding respondent confidentiality.
