Description
This program was developed during the HARMONIC project, for assessing the radiation dose to a large cohort of paediatric patients who underwent cardiac fluoroscopy procedures.
The program estimates the radiation dose to 12 organs or tissues, and the effective dose, by using or extrapolating DAP-to-organ dose conversion coefficients from a large data base. The coefficients were derived from Monte Carlo simulations. Limited patient data and technical parameters of the procedure are used to select the appropriate coefficients.
Details of the program development, limitations and use will be published elsewhere.
The python version (script) is available upon reasonable request.
