PathOS Case Study "ELIXIR Bioinformatics resources' impact on industry": research Data

This case study investigates how ELIXIR's open bioinformatic resources are used in innovation and also by industry in the life sciences to demonstrate the long-term benefits and socioeconomic value of a Open Research Infrastructure in life sciences.

This datasets include 1500 papers and almost 10K patents, collected over the years by ELIXIR Hub from EuroPMC and Lens.org, and further enriched with extra data by Scinobo and PatStat. The complete datasets were manually analysed for metrics on academic and economic impact regarding citations, academic-industry collaboration, and innovation outputs to provide concrete evidence of high-level impacts.
