TRISTAN: Preclinical Rat MRI (Raw DICOM)

This record contains original, unprocessed DICOM data from 15 preclinical rat studies (S01–S15) conducted within the TRISTAN project. Each study investigates drug–drug interactions or protocol effects under controlled conditions. Files are distributed as ZIP archives per study.

File structure. Each study ZIP contains nested ZIPs named like SXX_RatYY_DayZ.zip, i.e., scans from one rat on a given day. Data are raw DICOM only—no preprocessing.

Quick start (manual)

  1. Download the study ZIP(s) you need (e.g., S01.zip).

  2. Unzip; inside you’ll find multiple inner ZIPs per rat/day.

  3. Unzip those to access the DICOM series.

Programmatic download (Python)

Use the tristan.rat_fetch function in the open-source miblab-data package to download, optionally recursively unzip, and (optionally) convert to NIfTI.
