culturESS survey dataset: SEE practices in rural art and creation centers (Catalonia & Occitanie, 2025)

This dataset was generated in the framework of the REC – Euroregion Creation Centres Network project and the culturESS research initiative (June 2025). It compiles survey responses and qualitative insights from nine rural art and creation centres in Catalonia and Occitania. The dataset applies adapted social and solidarity economy (SSE) indicators to the cultural sector through the culturESS questionnaire, covering 15 dimensions such as democratic governance, feminist perspective, working conditions, cooperation, environmental sustainability, and territorial anchoring. It provides a first collective diagnosis of how artistic creation spaces contribute to social, cultural, and territorial transformation. The dataset includes the transcriptions of interviews with the two managers of the networks: XarxaProd (Catalonia) and Air de Midi (Occitanie)
