UCIS4EQ: Urgent Computing Integrated Services for Earthquakes

Description

UCIS4EQ: Urgent Computing Integrated Services for Earthquakes _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Urgent Computing Integrated Services for Earthquakes (UCIS4EQ) is proposed as an innovative UC seismic workflow designed to rapidly generate synthetic estimates of the consequences (such as synthetic time histories, shakemaps, PGA/PGV, among other proxies) of moderate to large earthquakes (M > 6). This software solution was developed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (CNS), as part of the ChEESE-COE project. It was later modified within the framework of the ChEESE-2P and eFlows4HPC projects. Authors: Josep de la Puente, Juan Esteban Rodríguez, Marisol Monterrubio Marta Pienkowska-Cote. The UCIS4EQ output is composed for each simulation ejecuted by: - point_output.h5 file Contains all synthetic seismograms computed at each point (latitude, longitude) in the grid (entery domain) including locations of real seismic stations. To obtain m/s units synthetics must be divide by 10. - Intensity Maps folder that contain all seismic intensity maps computed using different proxies such as: PGA, PGV, SA, CAV, RotD50, Arias Intensity (AI), and Duration based on AI.
