This dataset provides nitrogen leaching outputs from the SIMPLE-G Nitrogen (SGNv4.0) simulation framework under a targeted tax scenario. The scenario aims to reduce nitrogen leaching concentrations to a threshold of 2 mg N/L, consistent with planetary boundary guidance, while allowing for a maximum reduction of 90% in nitrogen application rates to avoid computations errors. The outputs reflect spatially explicit responses in agricultural systems and market dynamics under policy constraints, supporting integrated assessments of environmental and economic trade-offs in global food production.

Coefficients and parameters

The UDC files contain updated coefficient values generated during SIMPLE-G  GEMPACK simulations. These coefficients are updated given the model’s response to policy shocks or scenario changes, showing updated levels of variables such as prices, quantities, cost shares, and elasticities.
