The catalogs for the paper ''The bimodal distribution of donor stars in X-ray binaries''
Authors/Creators
Description
The compressed file contains four catalogs, which are associated with the paper "The bimodal distribution of donor stars in X-ray binaries"
1. "Table1_all3964_Identical to the table within the paper.fits"
This file is identical to Table 3 in the paper. It is the complete X-ray binary catalog of 3964 objects, which includes basic information such as the star name, coordinates and their errors (from the Simbad database), the X-ray binary type, and the bibcodes for the coordinate and type references.
| Parameters | Unit | Description |
| Name | Star name from Simbad | |
| RA | deg | Right Ascension from Simbad |
| DEC | deg | Declination from Simbad |
| COO_ERR_MAJA | sec | major axis of the error ellipse from Simbad |
| COO_ERR_MINA | sec | the minor axis of the error ellipse from Simbad |
| type | type of XRBs (HXB or LXB) | |
| COO_BIBCODE_ref | reference BIBCODE for the coordinates | |
| type_BIBCODE_ref | reference BIBCODE for the type of XRBs |
2. "Table2_pars288_Identical to the table within the paper.fits"
This file is identical to Table 4 in the paper. The first four columns contain the results of the cross-matching with Gaia DR3. The subsequent five columns list the absolute parameters that we determined based on atmospheric parameters and the MIST stellar evolution model. The final parameter is the orbital period from F. Fortin et al. (2023), A. Avakyan et al. (2023), and M. Neumann et al. (2023).

(Below are the extended versions of the two tables above, with additional parameters added.)
3. "Table1_all3964_with extra parameters.fits"
This file is an enhanced version of Table 3 from the paper. It includes additional parameters from Simbad, F. Fortin et al. (2023), A. Avakyan et al. (2023), M. Neumann et al. (2023), and the International Variable Star Index (VSX).
4. "Table2_pars288_with extra parameters.fits"
This file is an enhanced version of Table 4 from the paper. It includes additional parameters from Simbad, F. Fortin et al. (2023), A. Avakyan et al. (2023), M. Neumann et al. (2023), the International Variable Star Index (VSX), as well as the absolute parameters we determined from the PARSEC model.
