Description

# Oceanographic moored time series at inner fjord station in Nuup Kangerlua (SW Greenland)

This dataset consists of two parts:

- **Part 1**: Moored current data (ADCP)
- **Part 2**: MicroCAT temperature and salinity data

## Part 1: Oceanographic moored current time series

### Description

This dataset contains Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) measurements collected at station GF10 in Nuup Kangerlua, SW Greenland . Two ADCPs were deployed on the same mooring and together provide a almost full-depth velocity record of the inner fjord circulation between 2018-05-29 and 2019-06-12.
The mooring was deployed at location:
**64°36.743′ N, 50°57.254′ W**

- The **deep ADCP** (Teledyne RDI 75 kHz Long Ranger) was mounted looking upward and recorded velocity profiles every 60 minutes, covering depths from ~43 m to ~507 m.
- The **shallow ADCP** (Teledyne RDI 300 kHz Workhorse Sentinel) was mounted looking upward and recorded velocity profiles every 30 minutes, covering depths from ~4.8 m to ~50.8 m.

The dataset is part of the project *“Greenland fjords as gateways between the ice sheet and the ocean”* (UU–NIOZ collaboration) and contributes to long-term monitoring of fjord circulation and ice–ocean interactions. Data processing included quality control by flagging and removal of outliers (>3× standard deviation).

All NetCDF metadata attributes are included according to CF and ACDD conventions (featureType = timeseries, Conventions = ACDD-1.3).

## Part 2: Oceanographic moored MicroCAT time series

### Description

This dataset contains temperature and salinity data from 4 moored instruments deployed between **2018-05-29** and **2019-06-12**.
The instruments were Sea-Bird SBE37 MicroCAT CTDs, deployed at mooring station GF10 in Nuup Kangerlua, SW Greenland, on the same mooring as the ADCPs:
**64°36.743′ N, 50°57.254′ W**

The sample interval was **10 minutes**. Instruments were initially intended to be at depths of 60 m, 150 m, 330 m, and 540 m, but final mounting depths were approximately:

- 60 m  (target: 60 m)
- 156 m  (target: 150 m)
- 328 m  (target: 330 m)
- 533 m  (target: 540 m)
