Fifteen years into the open data movement

Description
Fifteen years into the open data movement, we take the stage as an unusual duo to reflect, provoke, and laugh about where we've landed. A dialogue, shaped by friendship, a few successes, many failures, and a bit of fun—think less "keynote," more "late-night talk show."
We revisit the principles of data quality (ISO) and the FAIR guidelines, using them as a mirror for the Italian open data experience—and as a stage for stories that resonate globally. From inaccessible civic datasets to the overemphasis on machine-to-machine interfaces, we explore how technical dogmas sometimes missed the human point. We share what we’ve learned from saying "publish everything," and why now we say "publish less, but better, and maintain it."
We ask: how can we treat open data not just as free raw material for AI and apps, but as digital commons, built and governed with communities?
