Source Energy Field Theory II: Explaining Galactic Rotation Curves without Dark Matter
Creators
Description
Galactic rotation curves have long been regarded as one of the most direct observational evidences for the existence of dark matter. However, the ΛCDM model exhibits several inconsistencies on galactic scales, while modified gravity theories such as MOND also face limitations.
In this study, we present a new framework based on the Source Energy Field Theory (SEFT). Using 175 rotation curves from the SPARC database, we demonstrate that SEFT with globally fixed Padé parameters, supplemented by minimal nonlinear and BH-like corrections, reproduces 140 galaxies without invoking dark matter halos.
This work is Part II of the SEFT series, following Source Energy Field Theory: A Novel Framework for Cosmic Structure Formation (Zenodo, 2025). It establishes SEFT as a unifying framework connecting galactic dynamics to cosmology.
