D2.3: First data status and analytics

This deliverable (D2.3) provides an initial inventory of coastal and river data status and statistics. The coastal data inventory includes the 10 main in situ platform types available in the Copernicus Marine Service. The inventory is made by platform types and provides various information and statistics to give an overview of the data available (e.g. institution owner, country owner,
geographical position, parameters, measurement period) in the Copernicus Marine Service for the provider and the data manager (including the FOCCUS partners) to have the opportunity to complete or correct the information provided.
The river data inventory includes major rivers across European countries and some American countries. Data considered are at the river mouth, defined at the point where there is no more salty (no tide influence) waters, and must include the water flux. These first status and statistics will hopefully allow for improving data management homogenisation that will be proposed by FOCCUS partners, EMODnet physics and the Copernicus Marine Service.
