Quatri Partitu en cosmografía práctica y por otro nombre llamado Espejo de navegantes

The QUATRI PARTITU en cosmografía práctica y por otro nombre llamado Espejo de navegantes (Quatri Partitu on Practical Cosmography, otherwise known as Mirror of Navigators) is one of the most important Iberian treatises on navigation from the 16th century. It was written circa 1537 by Alonso de Chaves, a notable Castilian cosmographer who had been in the service of the Casa de la Contratación in Seville since 1528 and was Chief Pilot (Piloto Mayor) of the same institution between 1552 and 1586.

The present digital edition produced by the Rutter Project team is a standardised, searchable, hyperlinked, open-source version of this work of unquestionable importance to the history of Iberian nautical science in the modern period.
