The Universe from Zero: A Proof of the Trivial Global State from the Principles of Locality and Observation
Creators
Description
To show that the total energy of the universe must be exactly zero, Algebraic Quantum Field Theory (AQFT) and Relational Quantum Mechanics (RQM), the Thermal Time Hypothesis (TTH) and the Eigenstate Thermalization Hypothesis (ETH) are used to demonstrate that on thoses bases any localized observation necessitates a thermal state (T > 0). The global state of the universe, being non-local, must correspond to a trivial thermal limit (Tglobal = 0). This zero global temperature directly implies zero total energy and supports the "Universe from Nothing" thesis, while also proving the necessity of "No Global Symmetries" conjecture under these axioms.
