Strategic Management Practices and the Impact on Local Economic Development in Manggarai

This study aims to analyze the application of strategic management by the government, in this case the Office of Investment, Cooperatives, MSMEs and Manpower (DPMKUT) and economic actors in Langke Rembong Sub-district, Kabupaten Manggarai, and examine its influence on local economic development. The methodology used is a qualitative approach by collecting data through interviews and observations from various relevant stakeholders in the region. The results show that the implementation of creative and organized strategic management has a significant impact on increasing community income, developing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and improving economic infrastructure. However, there are several obstacles such as the lack of skilled labor and limited access to technology that are the main hindrances.
