In situ sampling uncovers seasonal variability in community structure and metabolism of active deep-sea microbes
Creators
Description
This dataset was utilized in the research project titled “In situ sampling uncovers seasonal variability in community structure and metabolism of active deep-sea microbes.”
Version 1 includes Metagenome-Assembled Genomes (MAGs). Files ending with .faa
contain the amino acid sequences for each MAG, while files ending with .txt
provide annotation information for each MAG based on alignment with the KEGG database.
Version 2 contains two files: Greening_lab_metabolic_marker_gene_databases.zip
and Greendatabase_annotation_table.txt
.
-
Greening_lab_metabolic_marker_gene_databases.zip
:
This file contains the protein sequences used to build a custom database of metabolic marker proteins based on the Greening Lab collection (https://doi.org/10.26180/c.5230745). In addition to the Greening Lab database, we supplemented it with amoB and pmoB sequences retrieved from NCBI and UniProt to expand the coverage of key functional markers in our analysis. -
Greendatabase_annotation_table.txt
:
This file contains the annotation information for each MAG based on alignment with the custom Greening Lab metabolic marker gene database described above.
