  • 1. Independent Researcher

Description

The teaching of sainthood and hagiology forms a key element of the doctrinal concepts in the Russian Orthodox Church. In the Russian tradition, sainthood covers a wide range of individual and communal life, following the example of Christ. Saints are categorized based on their status and roles within the church and society. Some are associated with particular positions or special virtues, while others are honored for their steadfast faith and sacrifices. The classification of saints helps clarify the various ways sanctity is recognized and celebrated, revealing the theological and cultural significance of sainthood in the Russian Orthodox tradition.
