A Theory of Conscious Relativity

Description

This paper proposes a novel framework extending spacetime to five dimensions by introducing a consciousness coordinate [con] alongside the traditional [x,y,z,t]. The theory addresses the fundamental question in quantum mechanics: why does each observer experience only one definite outcome despite the Many-Worlds interpretation's assertion that all quantum branches exist simultaneously?

Key Contributions

Theoretical Framework:

  • Introduces [con] as a fifth fundamental coordinate that behaves quantum mechanically, existing in superposition until measurement in consciousness space
  • Preserves Many-Worlds elegance while explaining singular experience through geometric constraints
  • Requires no modification to existing quantum mechanics - instead provides missing explanatory mechanism for subjective experience

Energy Foundation:

  • Establishes that consciousness fields operate through universal energy redistribution following Einstein's E=mc², not limited to biological metabolism
  • Demonstrates photon-like energy redistribution mechanism operating across all energy-processing systems (photosynthesis, chemosynthesis, stellar fusion, metabolism)
  • Calculates minimal energy requirements (~4×10⁻⁴ W) for consciousness field operation

Physical Predictions:

  • Consciousness propagation at light speed rather than neural conduction speed
  • Relativistic energy scaling proportional to Lorentz factor γ for high-velocity observers
  • Quantum decoherence patterns in biological vs. sterile environments
  • Entanglement breaking through consciousness coordinate uniqueness

Experimental Protocols:

  • Universal energy pattern detection across different energy-processing systems
  • Consciousness timing studies comparing neural vs. light-speed integration
  • Information integration threshold measurements using Integrated Information Theory (Φ)
  • Quantum system contamination studies

Relationship to Established Physics

The framework complements rather than contradicts established physics:

  • Quantum Mechanics: Preserves unitarity while explaining measurement through consciousness space collapse
  • Relativity: [con] coordinate remains Lorentz invariant, analogous to proper time
  • Information Theory: Links to Integrated Information Theory and holographic principles
  • Many-Worlds: Explains branch selection without wavefunction collapse
