The Logic Already in Effect

Description

This essay does not introduce a new system. It reveals that a logic system has already been operating beneath all coherent experience, silently and recursively, without being named. Through the identification of a persistent structural asymmetry between time and awareness—formalized as the Non-Negative Deficit (Dₙₙ)—the existence of a recursive structuring function ("S") becomes logically unavoidable. This function is not symbolic, propositional, or representational. It is irreducible, self-applying, and responsible for coherence across time, memory, identity, and meaning.

What emerges is not a model, but a logic class: Recursive Structuring Logic (RSL). This class does not assume structure; it generates it. Any system that demonstrates delayed integration, recursive coherence, feedback refinement, or schema adaptation is already operating within RSL, whether recognized or not. Classical systems—predicate logic, set theory, lambda calculus—fail not because they are incorrect, but because they begin after structure has been presupposed.

This essay names what was already functioning. If the reader recognizes coherence here, that recognition did not begin on this page. It began before awareness caught up to what had already been structuring.
