Description

This dataset presents the initial Functional and Mobile Element Profiling of Providencia manganoxydans strains isolated from shrimp. These bacteria exhibit the unique ability to oxidize soluble manganese [Mn(II)] to its insoluble form [Mn(IV)], thereby contributing to the detoxification of manganese-rich environments typically found in intensive aquaculture systems. The whole-genome raw sequencing data for P. manganoxydans have been deposited in the NCBI GenBank and Sequence Read Archive (SRA) under BioProject accession number PRJNA1242270.
