Path to Encrypted DNS with DDR: Adoption, Configuration Patterns, and Privacy Implications - Data from DoE-Hunter
Creators
Description
This upload contains the data used for the paper "Path to Encrypted DNS with DDR: Adoption, Configuration Patterns, and Privacy Implications" at PETS 2025.
The upload is a tar archive containing the results from DoE-Hunter in the "data" directory. These are in the form of a mongodump and can be restored into a running mongo database using the docker compose file. The dataset contains scans of resolvers from July to November 2024.
How to use?
- Extract the file popets-data.tar.gz.
- Execute docker compose up within the folder.
- Wait until the data is restored in MongoDB (see log). This is only done once, not on every container startup.
- You can either connect to the database via a MongoDB driver or you can just query the data via localhost:8081.
Requirements
You must have docker and docker-compose-v2 installed, see https://docs.docker.com/get-started/.
Measurement Architecture
The measurement architecture is open-source and can be found on GitHub (https://github.com/steffsas/doe-hunter/).
