Description

ABR Data from Marcotti’s Lab, University of Sheffield (UK)

This dataset contains auditory brainstem response (ABR) recordings collected at Marcotti’s Lab, University of Sheffield. Data collection procedures are detailed in the companion publication: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.heares.2025.109328.

Subjects

A total of 104 one-month-old female mice were included in this dataset.

·       Mice 1–54: C57BL/6NTacCdh23+ background

·       Mice 55–104: C57BL/6N background

File Structure

·       Mouse ABRs: Raw ABR waveforms recorded using custom software (Ingham et al., Current protocols in mouse biology, 2011).

·       Wave 1 analysis: Measurements of wave 1 amplitude and latency in response to clicks (annotated as frequency = 100 in the files) and pure tones at 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, and 42 kHz. Stimulus levels range from 15 to 95 dB SPL. Measurements were performed using custom software (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14191510).

·       thresholds.csv: Contains manually estimated auditory thresholds for all 104 mice.
