Buried in the shadow of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Liu Shan has long been branded as incompetent.
Yet in truth, he was the final “guardian behind the scenes” of the Han dynasty, praised in Liu Bei’s last testament and recognized for his benevolence and wisdom by Zhuge Liang.
Liu Shan was not the hero who wielded weapons on the battlefield.
Instead, he chose the path of enduring humiliation, feigning foolishness, and maintaining silence — all to protect the nation, its people, and the bloodline of Han.
It was a path of the silent hero, chosen only by those who truly lived by righteousness.
This work is a tale that uncovers the true image of Liu Shan,
based on the words of Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang recorded in the official Records of the Three Kingdoms with annotations by Pei Songzhi,
and delivers it across time to the present day.
