PREP4BLUE D4.6: Report on Mission dashboard concept and findings for tracking of Mission progress
Description
Missions are a new instrument in the Horizon Europe programme, which aims to tackle societal challenges with systemic solutions. The implementation of five Missions themes (Restore our ocean and waters by 2030, Adaptation to Climate Change, Cancer, Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities and Soil Health and Food) was launched in 2021.
Funded under the EU Horizon Europe programme, Prep4Blue is a three-year project that sets the scene for co-creating and co-implementing the research and innovation required to achieve the objectives of the Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030 (hereafter “MO” or (the) Mission) by using the dedicated enablers: the “Digital Ocean and Water Knowledge System” and the “Public mobilization and engagement”.
Within PREP4BLUE (P4B), WP4 (“Knowledge Management: Identifying and Transferring Knowledge/Solutions to Support the Mission”) aims to support effective knowledge management, especially in helping to identify high potential knowledge/solutions and effectively transfer them to target end-users for uptake/application in support of the Mission.
Within the P4B project, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung EV (FHG) is leading Task 4.5, which considers the work carried in T4.1-T4.4 to provide recommendations on how to build a dashboard and map to be used by the all the end-users of the Mission as well to allow to track the Mission progress. The WaveLinks platform, developed by SDU’s team in T4.2, is used as a basis for these recommendations. This platform has successfully implemented the Mission Ocean Ecosystem (MOE) ontology, as detailed in D4.1 and D4.3 to interlink projects, results and stakeholders. The recommendations provided in D4.6 aims to further develop WaveLinks after the end of P4B to become the Mission Dashboard that will meet all end-users needs as well as track the progress towards the Mission objectives and targets.
This document provides recommendations for the future implementation of the Mission dashboard and map, ensuring the integration of relevant projects, data, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for a comprehensive analysis of Mission progress.
