Description

Deliverable D5.1, “Catalogue of services, flexibility potential of appliances and business use cases”, presents a comprehensive overview of the flexibility potential of household appliances and other energy assets relevant to the GLocalFlex project. The deliverable introduces a structured catalogue that identifies flexibility providers, such as demand-side devices, generation sources, and storage units, and matches them with suitable flexibility services. These services include both frequency-related and non-frequency-related functions, supporting system operators (TSOs and DSOs) and enabling peer-to-peer energy trading.

The report also outlines preliminary hardware and software requirements for service providers and offers input for the technical development of the GLocalFlex marketplace in WP4. Each flexibility service is described in terms of its technical constraints and its planned use within the project’s pilot sites. In addition, the report reflects on the marketplace’s technical and economic boundaries and points towards future developments in flexibility services across Europe.
