D1.2 Ethics Plan and Advisory Report

Deliverable D1.2 “Ethics Plan and Advisory Report” presents the ethical governance framework established by the GLocalFlex Consortium to ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards throughout the project’s implementation. It describes the creation and role of an independent Ethics Advisory Board (EthAB), composed of external experts and consortium members with expertise in EU ethics, privacy, data protection, and law enforcement.

The report outlines the responsibilities of the EthAB, which include annual reviews of relevant deliverables, ongoing monitoring, and guidance on emerging ethical issues related to technologies used in GLocalFlex. These technologies include decentralised identifiers (DIDs), smart contracts, and machine learning. The document also provides a schedule for the delivery of required documents to meet the ethics obligations defined in the Grant Agreement (Part A).

This deliverable reflects the consortium’s commitment to integrating ethical oversight into all project activities and ensuring responsible innovation across all pilot sites and technical developments.
