A First Look on Discovery of Designated Resolvers - IFIP 2025 - Data

Introduction

This upload provides the data used for the research publication A First Look on Discovery of Designated Resolvers at IFIP 2025. This data is essentially a MongoDB dump (gzip) and contains the raw DDR (Discovery of Designated Resolvers, RFC9462) data collected in the measurement period from July 12th to July 13th of 2024.

How to use?

1. Extract the file ifip-ddr-data.tar.gz.
2. Execute docker compose up within the folder. 
3. Wait until the data is restored in MongoDB (see log). This is only done once, not on every container startup.
4. You can either connect to the database via a MongoDB driver or you can just query the data via localhost:8081. 

Requirements

You must have docker and docker-compose-v2 installed, see https://docs.docker.com/get-started/.

Measurement Architecture

The measurement architecture is open-source and can be found on Github (https://github.com/steffsas/doe-hunter/).
