Description

On April 14, 2025, we hosted an informative webinar as part of the PathOS training series on the Open Science Impact Indicator Handbook, Tools, and Data.

Featuring Vincent Traag (CWTS) and Petros Stavropoulos (ARC), the session delved into the causal perspective on Open Science impacts, exploring its academic, societal, and economic effects. The webinar focused on the role of the Open Science Impact Indicator Handbook in operationalizing indicators and addressing challenges related to causal inference.

We also covered essential tools and data for measuring Open Science impact, including metrics such as citations, data usage, and cost savings. The session concluded with a discussion on the future directions of the Handbook and its policy implications, along with opportunities for community contributions.
