OSM Building Footprints Vector Tiles Dataset – Dominica, 2025

Dataset Description

This dataset consists of vector tiles containing OpenStreetMap building footprints, processed using Planetiler. The MBTiles format stores geometric representations of buildings as vector data, enabling efficient rendering and analysis within digital twin environments. The dataset maintains precise spatial relationships and supports scalable visualization across multiple zoom levels.

Temporal Domain

Data completeness varies by region within Dominica and Contributions Amount.
Updates require periodic regeneration of tilesets
Processing time scales linearly with dataset size (its around 128gbs for the whole world and might take around 8hrs to process at once. )
