Guidelines and good practices for the use of DocTalent4EU credentials connected to ESCO

The document provides clear, hands-on guidance for Higher Education Institutions aiming to adopt DocTalent4EU digital credentials. Aligned with the ESCO framework and issued via the Europass Digital Credentials Infrastructure, these credentials formally recognise key transferable skills gained by PhD candidates, specifically in communication, teamwork, and leadership.

Drawing on successful pilot implementations, the document offers good practices, technical manuals, and tutorials to support institutions in integrating digital credentialing into their processes with minimal technical investment. DocTalent4EU is a HORIZON EUROPE funded project which aims to enhance PhD employability through a strong, visible and innovative recognition-system of the most in-demand transferable skills that early-career researchers acquire or will acquire through their doctoral training and research activities.
