3D models of deformed cave passages in Mescla Cave in the Maritimes Alps
Description
We provide two 3D models of deformation mapped in the Mescla Cave in the Maritimes Alps (SE France).
(1) The scan was produced as a 3D textured point cloud using an iPhone 13Pro LiDAR scanner. The scan shows a cave passage offset (23 cm)
(2) The structure-from-motion textured model shows a cave wall with offset veins. The model was constructed using the standard approach using Agisoft Meatashape Professional (V 2.0.4).
The presented materials serve as supplementary documentation for the study of the Maritimes Alps neotectonics, described in the manuscript: "Unexpected latest Pleistocene W-E compression in the Maritimes Alps (SE France): Insights from passage offset in Mescla Cave."
